What the question is asking
Item 65 is the receiving side of item 64: it asks whether a partner has cheated on you. Along with items 62 and 48 it is one of a small group of items that record something done to you, and checking it lowers the score exactly as much as any item describing your own conduct.
Where people disagree about what counts
The item depends on knowing, which not everyone does. Suspicion without confirmation is read as not enough by most takers. The definition problem from item 64 applies here too, since what counts as cheating is set by the relationship rather than by the checklist.
The test is self-scored and nobody else ever sees your answer, so the only thing that matters is applying one reading consistently across the whole checklist.
How item 65 fits with the items around it
Item 65 closes both the cheating pair with item 64 and the entire emotional run that began at item 61. The checklist then returns to practical, physical items at 66 to 70 before changing category entirely at item 71.
How it affects the score
Every question has the same one-point effect. Checking item 65 subtracts one point from the starting score of 100. Leaving it unchecked subtracts nothing, and no item on the checklist is weighted more heavily than any other.
Final score = 100 − total checked boxes
