Innocence Test, Purity Quiz, Pure Test, or Impurity Test?
People use several different names for the same 100-question Rice Purity Test. Some call it an innocence test, a purity quiz, a purity exam, or a pure test quiz. Others call it an impurity test, because it is the checked boxes that move the number. All of them mean the same checklist and the same arithmetic: 100 minus the items you check. This version keeps the familiar 0–100 scoring and adds instant results, an explanation for every exact score, and private local progress saving.
What Each Score Means
Every score from 0 to 100 has its own page showing the exact arithmetic. These six bands group the scale — they are navigation aids, not population comparisons or personality inferences.
Score 98–100 · 0–2 checked
Between 0 and 2 of the 100 items were checked, so the score stays within two points of the maximum. At this end of the scale a single extra check moves the score by a full point and can cross into the next band, which is why totals here are unusually sensitive to how you read an ambiguous item.
Score 94–97 · 3–6 checked
Between 3 and 6 of the 100 items were checked. Because the checklist opens with social and dating items, a total in this band is often reached without touching the later categories at all — but the number alone cannot confirm that, since any 3 to 6 items produce the same result.
Score 77–93 · 7–23 checked
Between 7 and 23 of the 100 items were checked, leaving most of the checklist unchecked. This is the widest band in the upper half of the scale: it spans 17 different scores, so two people in the same band can be as much as 16 checked items apart.
Score 45–76 · 24–55 checked
Between 24 and 55 of the 100 items were checked, which brackets the midpoint of the scale. It is the largest band by count, covering 32 separate scores, so it tells you very little on its own — the useful number is the exact total, not the band.
Score 9–44 · 56–91 checked
Between 56 and 91 of the 100 items were checked. The largest single category on the checklist holds 56 items, so any checked count above 56 — that is, any score below 44 — mathematically has to draw on more than one category.
Score 0–8 · 92–100 checked
Between 92 and 100 of the 100 items were checked, leaving 8 or fewer unchecked. Totals this low are rare in practice because the checklist includes narrow, mutually specific items, and reaching this band requires checked items from at least four of the five categories.
What the questions actually mean
A number of items are euphemisms or in-jokes rather than plain descriptions, and answering them honestly is hard if you are not sure what they are asking. Every one of the hundred has its own page explaining the wording, the readings people argue about, and how it relates to the items either side of it.

How is the score calculated?

What is a good Rice Purity Test score?
There is no good, bad, or universal normal score. A result only reports how many items on this particular checklist were left unchecked. We do not publish a population average or percentile because we do not have a documented representative dataset.

Why is it called the 'Rice' Purity Test?

How long does the test take?
There is no fixed completion time. All 100 items are on one page, most people work through them in five to ten minutes, and saved progress lets you stop and return later in the same browser.

Is a 69 Rice Purity score bad?
No score on this checklist is good or bad. A 69 means 31 of the 100 items were checked and 69 were left unchecked. We publish a page for every exact score from 0 to 100 showing that arithmetic, and no population percentile, because we hold no documented representative dataset.
What does a 59 mean on the Rice Purity Test?
A score of 59 means 41 of the 100 checklist items were checked. It sits in the 24–55 checked band, which covers scores 45 to 76. The exact-score page for 59 works through the full arithmetic, including how many checked items would move it into an adjacent band.
What does “kissed horizontally” mean on the Rice Purity Test?
It means kissing while lying down, rather than standing or sitting up. It refers to body position only and does not imply that anything further happened — intercourse is asked about separately at item 22. Several checklist items use euphemisms like this, and each one has its own explanation page.
