What the question is asking

Item 94 asks whether you have been questioned by the police. It is far broader and far more common than the three items before it, and it covers any occasion where an officer asked you about something rather than simply spoke to you.

Where people disagree about what counts

The boundary between a conversation and questioning is undefined. Being asked to move along is not usually counted; being asked what you were doing somewhere generally is. Whether being questioned as a witness rather than a suspect counts is also left open, and the item does not distinguish.

The test is self-scored and nobody else ever sees your answer, so the only thing that matters is applying one reading consistently across the whole checklist.

Because 91 to 93 are ordered by seriousness as a group, and 94 and 95 are added afterwards as related forms of police contact.
